Dolly-Parton

Dolly Parton was born on the 19th of January 1946 at Locust Ridge Tenn. She was raised alongside 12 other kids. Her vivid imagination helped her escape from the pressures of daily life. Her songs were written before she was able to read or write. In the year she turned 8, she got her first electric guitar. She began singing on a Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. The that same time, Gold Band Records was a small independent record label. Her name was made in the local scene while at high school, but always dreamed of having a bigger stage. The year 1964 was the day that followed her graduation from high school her family moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were her two first charting albums on Monument Records. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female vocalist for his show that was syndicated from the beginning. Parton was hired in the year 1966. She was signed to RCA Records in 1968, and then the Grand Ole Opry was founded in 1969. Parton quit the Wagoner's band in 1974 after her own hits like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene beat out the collaborations. Parton wrote "I I Will Never Forget You" for Wagoner just after the pair split. The song was ranked the top spot at No. The first time a single hit the top spot.
